I remember being encouraged to write letters to companies as a kid, and I actually got results. Too bad that didn't stick with me.

And I TOTALLY agree with you and Eliza about Dell. I heard their customer service was terrific and their computers lasted forever. SO not the case. I not only won't buy a Dell again, but I won't let my mother buy one, and I've spread the word to everyone else I know (when relevant).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9360493.post-1136997910338806522006-01-11T11:45:00.000-05:002006-01-11T11:45:00.000-05:00Oh I hate DELL, I have a different word for it act...Oh I hate DELL, I have a different word for it actually. When my husband went to Iraq my old computer (dinosaur) finally gave out. He purchased me a Dell online because he thought they were the best. Sweet I know. But imagine after only a month and the thing quits working on you. It would take some time for them to come out and fix it and in the meanttime I couldn't get my work done. UGH! No way was I taking three kids to the library during the summer. They had a guy come fix it, which I had told them just to replace it. Within two weeks it died again. I swear I didn't want to bother but did anyways as I needed it. Took an editional 2 weeks to get the machine. In the end they replaced it and had come out, last time they tried helping me over the phone but i've since given up. I went out and bought a new computer. People that know me *intimately* laugh at me and think I'm off my rocker when I track down a semi so that I can write down his license and truck number and the 800# to report bad driving. I mean, after all--THAT'S what the 800# is there for! I also like to write "nice" letters. We experienced EXCELLENT customer service during our recent trip to (a new) Lowe's. EVERY SINGLE PERSON that worked there greeted us with a, "Hi! How are you? What can we help you with?" Every one of them...I kid you not. It was almost annoying, and I did laugh after the fourth person said this to us. But hey, I can't remember a time I've EVER walked in a store and felt so welcomed and loved! :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9360493.post-1136829170796057622006-01-09T12:52:00.000-05:002006-01-09T12:52:00.000-05:00When I write and complain I very seldom get any re...When I write and complain I very seldom get any reply. I couldn't find the silly tomato sauce and paste, which was in another aisle from the crushed tomatoes and canned whole tomatoes. Now to me, that's a duh. Keep all your tomatoes together. :-)Shirleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10395507850821188923noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9360493.post-1136757263297078922006-01-08T16:54:00.000-05:002006-01-08T16:54:00.000-05:00Oh, man, I could write a lot about the grocery sto...Oh, man, I could write a lot about the grocery store layouts! Why are canned tomatoes with the pasta and not with the canned vegetables? I can maybe understand putting the prepared sauces there, but not ALL the tomatoes!Ellenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04467062377749049526noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9360493.post-1136736744923544772006-01-08T11:12:00.000-05:002006-01-08T11:12:00.000-05:00Sorry Shirley, but I think we'll have to battle th...Sorry Shirley, but I think we'll have to battle this one out - Dell customer service is much better than HP's - they by far are at the bottom of the heap! Writing the CEO of HP was the only way to get a response.

I enjoy giving my 2 cents and more to companies - too bad they don't listen to you and to me! The mom's of the world could solve lots of problems. lol!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
