Today, guest author Georgina Devon is joining me! She's got two AWESOME historical romance novels to tell you about -- BETRAYAL and HER REBEL LORD.
First, a little intro from Georgina:
"I became fascinated with the Regency era after reading Georgette Heyer. It helped that I lived in England as a child. I still remember that we left just before I started second grade. I was devastated because second grade is when the field trips to castles started! As an adult, I've made it my goal to visit all the castles I missed as a child! It's even better when I can use them in a book! Right now I live in Arizona and it's all I can do to think of cool English days with rain on the way when the thermometer reads 100 degrees and rising with no rain on the horizon. LOL. But that's what imagination is for."
Best, Georgina Devon
About Betrayal: Lady Pippa LeClaire was desperate to find Philip, her twin, even posing as a boy to search the battlefield at Waterloo for the wounded. As a healer, she couldn't ignore the devastation, and did her best to help, saving the leg of Deverell St. Simon.Given the task of nursing Dev, Pippa couldn't reveal her true self to him, especially when he was told by the Iron Duke to find Philip, believed by them all to be a traitor. She had to clear her twin's name, even if it meant losing Dev, the man she'd grown to love… Read an excerpt here!
About Her Rebel Lord: The rebel's marriage proposal... To polite society, Duncan McNabb, Lord Byrne, is the quintessential gentleman, occupied merely with fashion and flirtation. But Jenna de Warre knows his other identity--Duncan is also a hunted rebel! Bound to him by this deadly secret, Jenna soon finds herself drawn deeper into Duncan's dangerous world, and falling evermore under his charismatic spell. When it seems the rebel lord returns her feelings, Jenna leaps at his proposal of marriage, but is she destined merely to be mistress to his cause?
And if you're looking for a little something to enjoy while you're curled up in a corner, reading these two enticing stories, try my Cocoa Cherry Marshmallow Krispies!
Cocoa Cherry Super-Marshmallowy Crispies
6 cups Cocoa Krispies
1 cup dried cherries (buy them in the raisin aisle; they're cheaper there than in the fruit and vegetable department)
1 cup mini marshmallows
1 10-ounce bag big marshmallows
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1/4 cup butter
Mix cocoa Krispies, cherries and mini marshmallows in a big bowl, set aside. Spray a 13-by-9 pan with Pam and set aside. Melt butter in a heavy-duty saucepan, then add cocoa powder. Stir in marshmallows until melted. With buttered hands or a non-stick spatula, mix marshmallow mixture with cereal mixture (if you want to make it less marshmallow-y, you can leave out the mini-marshmallows. We love marshmallow here :-). Pour into 13 by 9 pan. Let cool and cut.
Enjoy! The books and the recipe! :-) Thanks to Georgina for being here today!
