Today is my turn to blog at Romancing the Blog. If you haven't been over there, you simply must visit. It's a great gathering of minds and opinions, and one of the best blogs out there, IMHO. Today happens to be my turn, and I blogged about the whole concept of To Do Lists.
As in, do I do one? :-)
After blogging about it, I compromised and created a task list in Outlook, then printed that along with my calendar. I never did quite catch on to the PDA thing. I know, I know. I have a computer, a laptop, a cell phone, a satellite radio, a DVR, but me and PDAs...we just don't get along. I lose the stylus, hate waiting for it to turn on (yeah, yeah, I know, it only takes a second), can't stand the tiny buttons, the tap-tap-tapping thing. I realize these things are becoming more popular and I'm slipping into the minority, but for me, a paper calendar that I can scribble on and add my grocery list to the back of, or jot down a phone number on, makes the best sense. I don't even do a Day Planner anymore. If I'm going to carry something that takes up that much room in my purse it better be Macy's coupons ;-)
Secondly, I read a REALLY GOOD article on the romance industry here. Very fair, and very well done.
Finally, I ran this morning, after not going since Thursday. Me and the Migraine Fairy have been duking it out for the last few days, but I woke up this morning WITHOUT A HEADACHE -- yeah! Yesterday, my four/five-day migraine cleared up around 10 a.m. and by late afternoon, I was writing again. I got fifteen pages done -- a record for me since migraines started consuming my days. So, I think the new meds, the exercise, etc., are working for now, and I'm going to take advantage today and really plow forward on the current book.
I ran 2.4 miles this morning, too. I should have peeked at my pedometer before I went home because I bet I could have gone 2.5 if I knew I was that close to the next tenth of a mile. Ah well, there's always tomorrow :-)

Hugs to you! May the Migraine Fairy go sprinkle her headaches somewhere else :-)
ReplyDeleteI love those planners that are like journals. I think if I didn't spend so much of my day writing already, I'd love to do more personal writing, too. But a good hunk of my day goes already to words :-)

Oh, I SO have gadget fever! You should see me in Office Depot, just salivating over things I don't even need. I love new toys. And I keep wanting a PDA even though I know I'll never use the silly thing. It's just techno-envy ;-)

Andie,
ReplyDeleteThe library! I had forgotten I could rent the second season from there. I'll have to do that. It'll save me loads of money at Blockbuster.
